Michael is a current Bioengineering Ph.D. candidate in the School of Biomedical Engineering. He joined the CVB lab in Fall 2017. His current research focuses on cardiac tissue mechanical testing and the investigation of stem cell mechanisms and treatments for right heart failure.

Wenqiang (Eric) is from Wuhan, Hubei, China. He is a current Bioengineering Ph.D. candidate in the School of Biomedical Engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree of Pharmaceutical Engineering in China. He joined the CVB lab in Fall 2017. His current research focuses on the Isolated Vessel Test (IVT) system and viscoelasticity assessment and constitutive modeling for the right and left ventricles.

Katie is from Kailua, Hawaii and is an undergraduate student pursuing a dual degree in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in veterinary medicine. She is also a part of the University Honors Program. As an undergraduate researcher, Katie assists with the study of the pulmonary artery and right heart.
